Our Practices
-
Packaging
We use cardstock wraps for our soaps and solid hair products. These labels are backyard compostable with the exception of the small sticker used to adhere the label.
Our sugar scrub jars and room & linen spray bottles can be washed and reused as storage containers. They can also be recycled at your local recycling center.
-
Shipping
Our products are shipped in compostable bubble mailers or cardboard boxes that can be recycled or composted. For our chemical supply shipments, we use recyled poly mailers that can be recycled wherever you take your plastic grocery bags!
-
Community Involvement
As a small business owner, I have a goal to give back to our community whenever possible. We’ve donated to the local kids baseball league, our area entrepreneur center, as well as two local LGBT+ non-profits. We’ve also donated product and gift certificates to area fundraisers.
-
Raw Materials
We have taken care to source our raw materials from reputable suppliers with similar ethical beliefs. The palm oil used in our soaps is sourced from RSPO Certified suppliers.
For vibrant colors we use vegan mica powders that are lab created, and our glitters are biodegradable and crafted from natural ingredients. We love supporting other small businesses when possible. Our coffee and honey are purchased from local folks that we know well. My current honey supplier is actually my best friend and college roommate.
-
Our Suppliers
This year we have made the decision to move away from big box online suppliers whenever possible. I put a lot of thought into where I order our supplies and want to support smaller businesses with our dollars.
Our primary fragrance supplier is a woman owned small business in Minnesota.
Our main packaging supplier is Papermart, a family owned business since 1921.
The oils we use in products come from Soaper’s Choice, a woman owned, family operated business based in Illinois.
The supplies used in our solid hair products are sourced from a company in the midwest that was founded in 1935

Business Practices
From the beginning we have operated with integrity and transparency.
I do not make any medical claims for my products. You will be clean, and smell nice. For all ailments I suggest my customers discuss their issues with a primary care physician.
